Side Effects and Safety Most common adverse effects include: Blue or green discoloration of urine and skin Nausea, vomiting, dizziness Confusion or serotonin syndrome (especially if combined with SSRIs) Hemolysis in patients with G6PD deficiency (contraindicated) It is generally well tolerated at low doses, but IV administration requires careful dosing due to risks of neurotoxicity and cardiac events at higher levels
