Rare 1840s 1850s Daguerreotype of FIREMEN in Dress Uniform or Soldiers? hairwork he was a masonVery rare original 1 6 daguerreotype, circa 1850. This came out of a collection with quite a few South American and Mexican images, which led me to believe they might have been military or firemen from there, however the writing on the armband looks to be English, possibly reading in part "Mounted"?? Their helmets have two crossed hatchets on them. Uniform buttons are painted gold. An amazing image. Overall in VG antique condition, no longer sealed, a
